Dear Parents, The Trinity Lutheran Preschool staff welcome all of you to the 2010-2011 preschool program. We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are now ready to tackle an exciting school experience. This promises to be a rewarding and productive year as your child matures and seeks out new adventures. Typically, three and four year olds must satisfy their appetite for curiosity. This makes their learning process quite natural and fun. It is on this premise that families, teachers, and spiritual guidance enhance their intellectual growth. Their physical growth is quite a miracle in itself! Our staff has been very busy these past few weeks preparing their lessons and classrooms for your little ones. We are anxiously looking forward to a year of growing, learning and fun!! Throughout September, the children will come to realize that they are unique individuals. We will stress their importance to their families and their friends here at school. Basic values and social skills as well as chapel topics will become part of our everyday discussions. Chapel days will be noted on the monthly calendar, which you will receive in your school mailboxes. We encourage parents to join us, whenever possible, in chapel on those days. Please take note of a few important reminders. Label all personal belongings sent to school. Discourage children from bringing in toys or trinkets as they inevitably get lost. Each child will get a few special days during the year to bring in "show & tell". Please check your mailboxes and read your newsletters and calendars regularly, especially taking note of your child's class SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS, which are located on the calendar on the specific days. Without the items needed for special crafts, your child may not be able to participate. Please have all physical forms, emergency forms, release forms, and permission slips submitted to the office as soon as possible! Finally, because of insurance reasons, the toys in the gym are to be utilized by the students during the school session only. Any children on the toys at drop-off or dismissal time will be asked to please put the toy away. This will be strictly enforced. 3A- Mon/Wed/Fri A.M.
